Each tablet contains 5mg.Vinpocetine.

| Properties, effects: |
VINPOCETINE 5mg improves cerebral blood flow, decreases cerebral vascular resistance and increases cerebral oxygen and glucose utilization.VINPOCETINE 5mg inhibits phosphodiesterase activity, prevents platelet aggregation and adenosine intake by erythrocytes.
It diminishes or suppresses disturbances due to hypoxia or to deficient cerebral metabolism.

| Pharmacokinetics: |
VINPOCETINE 5mg is particularly well absorbed by the intestines. Its bioavailability upon oral administration is about 57%. VINPOCETINE 5mg has a half-life of elimination after oral administration about 2 hours. Optimal concentration of active substances in plasma is 10 to 20 ng/ml.

| Indications: |
Treatment of the symptoms of cognitive deterioration related with cerebral vascular disorders.
|
| Dosage: |
1 or 2 tablets 3 times per day. It is recommended that the tablets be taken during meals, without chewing them.
|
| Indications limits, counter-indications: |
Pregnancy, lactation.
|
| Side effects: |
Slight decrease in blood pressure, rarely tachycardia and extrasystole.
|
| Interactions: |
No interactions with other medicines have been described, although a possible interaction with antihypertensive and/or anticoagulant medicines should not be ruled out.

| Stability: |
5 years.

Boxes of 25 and 50 tablets of 5mg. Vinpocetine.
